Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As a buyer representative, my first step is to find out what the buyer wants, what they need and what they can afford. A mortgage lender will pre-qualify or help the buyer get a loan or determine their price range. Then together we choose the right property and have it inspected together. Then the mortgage lender or bank has it appraised. The attorney will do title work. As the buyers representative I will explain inspections needed for each individual property. We assist you through out the closing process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We moved with my husbands job to Smithfield in 1984. Our children were small and I wanted flexable hours. After working with his company for a short time selling advertisements for the Cable channels I became a REALTOR in 1988. I recieved full support from my husband Richard and family. I was trained by Century 21 Suburban owner Whit Whitley. I attended the Realtors Institute and earned my Graduate Realtors Institue (GRI) certification and later the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). In 1995 I became President of the Johnston County Association of REALTORS designation. I work full time.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
No. Every buyer and seller is different. However we do get our commissions from the seller so anyone wishing us to represent them as a buyer, will have no cost or obligation.
