I loved everything about working with Melissa Melbourne Interiors. I already knew Melissa had an impeccable eye for style when it came to clothing but her eye for interior design and outstanding service was more than I could imagine. She captured my vision for before I even could see it myself. She listened, she observed, she offered options of styles and vendors, she went on home shopping outings with me, pushed back when I veered off from the vision (lol) and so much more. Every time I get a new piece in from one of her suggestions I am blown away at how perfectly it goes with my home. As I watch the transformation of my home from when we first started I actually see my house becoming a home and I have been here 6 years already. I wish I asked for her help sooner. I would highly recommend Melissa Melbourne Interiors to anyone looking to transform their house to their dream home.

How did you get started in this business?

I got started during the pandemic when i no longer allowed fear to talk me out of my God given talent. i began to transform my space as well as family members space and began my formal education in design theory.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with friends and family and a few referrals to do one room transformations.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

was fond of a recent living dining room renovation that i did, where I removed a wall to create an open floor design. added new flooring, paint and chair rail design and contemporary styling.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

I would advise collaboration the project. both the client and the designer should work together to create the perfect design brief with that creates a harmonious, balanced and well proportioned design.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

i would suggest to look at ideas on google and pinterest and get an idea of what you like, then a designer can catrgorize your design style. for example your design style may be mid century modern, or japandi, or more of a traditional contemporary style.
