Straight Arrow Home Inspection, LLC
About
Easily book online and find pricing - or send square footage, age and whether or not there is a crawl space, and I can send quote.
I'm a professional home inspector who takes the job seriously and works hard to make sure buyers know what other costs might be a part of buying a home.
I enjoy meeting people and looking for home defects.
What makes the job gratifying is knowing buyers have information from me that they wouldn't have otherwise - information that will affect the price of owning their new home.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A customer books an appointment on my website, and gets an immediate email with information on what to expect.
Within an hour or so, the customer receives a personalized email with more information specific to your home, a link for my contract, which can be signed online and a link to an invoice, which can be paid online.
You are welcome to attend the inspection, or not. Either way, I will email you the home inspection report later in the evening on the day of the inspection. If I have multiple inspections on a given day, the latest the report would come would be the following morning.
Customers are encouraged to call, text, or email with any questions they have about the process or the report. I'm available well after your closing date, to answer questions a well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a carpenter for many years, owned a hardware store in Washington DC, and was trained to be a home inspector by North Carolina home inspectors 3 years ago. Passing the licensing exam for the state of North Carolina earned me license #3564.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, my pricing is determined by 3 factors: Square Footage of the home, Year Built, and whether or not there is a crawl space.
My pricing is completely transparent and available from my website: www.straightarrowhomeinspection.com
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with real estate agents and buyers, inspecting manufactured homes and mansions. Everyone I've worked with has been delightful so far.
Some customers prefer to tag along during the inspection and I welcome that. This is potentially your new home and I get why you want to know what is going on with it behind the veneer a couple walkthroughs with an agent.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Get a referral from someone who had a good experience with a home inspector. Absent that, look for someone experienced, who is a full time home inspector, and who has transparent pricing.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What if the inspector finds items that are expensive to fix? At what price do I give up on the home?
Am I willing to follow the recommendations from the home inspector, to have other professionals come and give estimates for any repairs?
Do I need to ask my agent for a referral for a pest control inspection to determine if there are termites? Do I need to research the importance of a radon test?
