What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Look at the pro's projects and see if your taste aligns with the designers but also realize that many designers can design a multitude of aesthetics so I suggest a meeting to discuss your wants and needs and let the designer show you how she can work to meet those needs.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

What is your budget?  What is the timeframe of the project?  What are your expectations for a designer?  Have you ever worked with a designer before?  If so, how was that experience?  Do you have an idea of what you want?  Do you have items we need to work around?  Are you ready to let me take the lead for your project?
