20+ years of hands on in building construction, remodeling and additions, historic renovations, production interior finishing, commercial interior build out, punch work for builders. etc etc

Typically hourly and 2 hour minimum. Will give flat fee for tasks too.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
HDTV mount hiding all wires, a Thumbtack gig doing a job no one would even come price for him. Large HDTV on Brick with tongue an groove board walls both sides of fireplace. I channeled between brick and walls, and inside mantle for main power wire to surge protector which I mounted up behind TV, hidden with the rest of the wires and adapters. Then reassembled mantle after boring access hole. 6 hours
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Speak to them by phone. It is very easy to grasp a persons skill level, and see if the know what they are talking about.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Never be surprised if cost of labor exceeds the task or job you have.
