My name is Sarah! I started professionally caring for animals (mostly dogs & cats) when I lived in Brooklyn, NY from 2017-2020. When Covid hit the city, I decided to move back to Charlotte to be with family.
I went back to school and have continued to work freelance in the film industry as well as caring for other peoples animals since I’ve been back in Charlotte.
I mostly do sittings and boardings, but also offer walks/drop in visits/daycares/transportation.
I am very reliable and committed to giving your pet the best care! Whether they enjoy being active or just like to cuddle on the couch. I cater to their routines and what makes them happy.
I have worked through other companies like Wag and Rover where I have cared for hundreds of animals and can provide my ratings and reviews from each other those services.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to suggest a complimentary Meet & Greet with each new client and their Pet/Pets. I believe it is the best way to see if it's a good match for the client and for me. It gives the opportunity to also learn about schedules for feeding or medications, activity, and sleep.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have gradually learned off of my many years of experience in the area of work. I also have a high attention to detail which helps me with schedules and sensing mood changes or knowing when a Pet needs something.

Dog Sitting or Boarding Prices:
$80 per night + 50% of nightly rate for 2-8hr extra on final day or 100% extended rate for 8hr+ extra on final day of sitting or boarding
$20 added fee per extra Pet per 24 hour period
$85 replaces $80 rate on holidays
$70 daycare without overnight stay / $10 for additional pet
$20 Pick up / Drop off fee if Pet Transportation is required
Dog Walking Prices:
$20 for 30min session - includes giving fresh water, feeding, play inside, a walk, backyard play, bring in mail/packages, etc.
$10 per Extra Pet
$10 to extend to 60min session (this is overall, not per extra pet)
Cat Sitting or Boarding Prices:
$60 per night + 50% nightly rate for 2-4hr extra on final day or 100% extended rate for 5-8hr extra on final day of sitting or boarding
$10 added fee per extra Pet per 24 hour period
$65 replaces $60 rate on holidays
How did you get started in this business?
I grew up caring for my own pets. As a child I had up to 11 pets at one time. It taught me how to manage many different kinds of animals with different needs at one time.
On a more professional level, I started dog walking and pet sitting in 2017 when I moved to NYC. I liked that I was able to be active with dog walking and it was a way to explore a city that was new to me. I was traveling all over the Boroughs to get to the animals I was caring for. It also kept me grounded in a city full of people hustling, and got me to go to the places with more nature when there's so much concrete and buildings. Animals are therapeutic. And I enjoy getting to care for them.
