What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We can start with a phone call or an email, you choose. I can give you some preliminary pricing based on our conversations or I can come see your home (if you are selling). If you are a buyer, I can meet with you at my office or a coffee shop to talk, or we can just go see a few homes. Again...you choose. The process is about what feels most comfortable to you, not you having to adjust to my system. 


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BA degree with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, from University of Missouri - Columbia. I was licenced as a real estate agent in 2001 and have been working full time since 2002 as an agent.

There are no fees for my services if you are a buyer. If you are a seller or need to buy and sell, I'm happy to answer your questions. 


How did you get started in this business?

I worked in non-profit and administrative jobs for 12 years before deciding I wanted to be a real estate agent. I wasn't in a position to take a job that couldn't support me, so I started at Wm French Buyer's Real Estate Services, working with relocating buyers provided by the firm. After 6 years of working 7 days a week year round, I was ready to launch my own business. 


What types of customers have you worked with?

I spent the first 6 years in real estate working with buyers relocating to the St. Louis region. Since then, I have been working with both local and relocating buyers and sellers. I've working with everyone from first time buyers to seasoned real estate owners. 


Describe a recent project you are fond of.

I really enjoy helping sellers transform their properties. I've worked with a number of sellers who I've never even met. They mailed me the keys and we discussed what work needed to be done. Then I've brought in contractors to handle flooring, painting, staging and even concrete slab replacement. When the work is finished they can't believe it's the same property!


What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Do not work with a PT agent or someone who has been working less than FT for less than 5 years. Finding the buyer (for a seller) or the property (for a buyer) is often the easy part. Getting to the closing table when there are problems that pop up takes a seasoned pro. 


What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

How often do you communicate with your clients? How do you keep in touch? How do you handle it if the buyer asks for too many things on inspections or the appraisal comes in low? What will my marketing look like? Do you make videos for your seller clients? What is your website address?
