Weichert, Realtors Welch & Company
About
As an experienced home remodeling contractor, I help my clients avoid purchasing pitfalls and help them understand and manage the risks associated with buying a home.
Also- my experience as a marketing professional has allowed me to sell my clients' homes in an average of 21 days versus the area average of 139 days. This nets my clients more money ($2985 per transaction more, to be exact) in a MUCH shorter amount of time, allowing them to buy their dream home nearly 4 months quicker!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet in person whenever possible, or have a phone consultation if distance requires. I walk my clients through the entire process of buying or selling a home in the current market, and provide sample contract documents for review before signing. This allows my clients to get all their questions answered before it's 'crunch time', and makes them feel more comfortable with all the paperwork.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My clients appreciate my background in both construction AND marketing. I owned a construction company prior to beginning my real estate career, and have worked as a marketing executive for several local firms. I'm constantly reading on topics such as negotiation, pricing, and more. I'm currently studying for my broker's license.
I'm also a huge Dave Ramsey fan; his writings and teachings greatly influence my work in this business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Every home is different, as is every client. There are no standard commissions in real estate; that would constitute price fixing and Mr. Government would be very unhappy with us as professionals.
How did you get started in this business?
I began studying Real Estate a number of years ago. My experiences with construction led me to connect with homeowners in a real and tangible way, and over time I felt that my true strengths went beyond the actual condition of the property and into the conveyance from one party to another.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types, I think. But there are more.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Interview several Realtors. Ask them about their processes for finding you the best home, negotiating the purchase, and managing the contract all the way through. Communication is critical in this business, so make sure you feel comfortable with the person that will be representing you in the largest purchase of your life.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
See if they pass the Grandma Test:
Would I have this person over for dinner? Are they someone I feel comfortable having around my family? Would my Grandma like him/her?
This is a people business. Any person who doesn't pass the 'grandma test' shouldn't be involved in the day-to-day business of your finances.
