What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are not using a heated dryer, what kind of shampoo are they using, what is their policy on a matted dog, how long they have been grooming, and pictures of their past grooms, do they require shots to be current for your pets safety and the groomers. Reading the reviews online and pictures speak volumes.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What they are really needing for maintenance on the dogs coat. If you can't commit to brushing daily, and grooming every 4 to 6 weeks then you should really consider a shorter haircut. It is important to your dogs coat health to keep up on the grooming schedule it will also be easier on the dog when they are groomed and they don't feel like it is a punishment instead a way of life.
