I have been an Interior Designer for nearly 30 yrs. I have experience in all phases of design work. I have helped clients from the drafting phase through home construction. I have helped clients in remodelling projects, and also in simply one to two room design updates.
I love that I can be creative and use the clients personality in my work. I can incorporate my design knowledge into their homes; making their homes liveable , comfortable, and pretty.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I schedule an intake meeting where I see the home and ascertain their interests and needs. I take notes and make a project list. Often I bring the color wheels and determine paint colors at the first appointment.
At the second appointment I show the clients some samples or other information they have requested.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mn in Housing and Business. I have graduate level course work in Drafting for the Interior Designer

How did you get started teaching?
After I had children I couldnt work in a typical office setting from 8-5pm.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Glance through Decor magazines or Kitchen and Bath magazines to locate the style you like, preferablly before we meet. Then use these photos that "speak to you" in order to "speak to me"
