Jim did a great job explaining why the keys on my older console piano were sticking and what he’d do to fix them. There’s been a good amount of improvement & he prepared me for the possibility that more work may be needed. Very helpful piano tuning expert !

Jim is friendly and very knowledgeable about tuning procedures. Due to the age and condition of my piano it needed to be raised a pitch and was difficult to be tuned. Jim tuned it perfectly and advised me that it will not be able to be tuned any further. He was able to give me advice as to where to look for a new piano in the future. He told me to play it until it is no longer playable and enjoy it since it was tuned. Highly recommend Jim’s services!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out about the piano's make, model and age. I also find out how long it has since it has been tuned. I ask if the piano is in need of repair as well as tuning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have training from the Yamaha Corperation in grand piano regulation. I have done adjunct tuning for St. Olaf college.
