What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We prefer to meet the client in their home. The initial consultation is always no charge. We talk about your hopes and wishes for the space.
Who lives here? How will the space be used? What colors, style, look will we be going for? It's basically a getting to know you meeting. At the end of that meeting we take a $500 retainer/ deposit to get started on your project.
Within about a week, we meet again and we will have a fully finished presentation and plan for the home or room we are starting with. Everything from floor plans, all furniture selections, fabrics and surfaces will be meticulously planned out.
From there, we order, tweak or a little of both.
We order everything and act as project manager for the entire project. We oversee the deliveries and installations. Customer service is our number one priority.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design and construction management. I have 15 years experience in interior design and have been on both HGTV and PBS numerous times. My work has been in numerous local publications as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
There is no charge for interior design as long as you are purchasing products with a minimum of about $5000.
We sell you the furnishings for your home. We have every resource there is.

What I love is working with people like myself. Families that are loving life and want a beautiful, cohesive home that fits their needs and lifestyle. Selecting items for your home with your lifestyle in mind is very important. You need things that will stand up to daily living. No hands off here!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Relationship and communication are of upmost importance. If you enjoy working with your designer, you will feel comfortable communicating your feelings with them.
Its also very important to educate yourself so you have a reasonable budget, and know what that is. Don't be afraid to tell me your budget, it doesn't mean I'm going to spend it all, it gives me direction.
