I like to first meet with them over the phone; have a conversation and see what it is they are looking for.   I then will schedule an appointment to see a home that they are looking for getting familiar with them and the feel of what they need.  Knowing people is the key and being there to communicate to them on every level is very important to me.

I continue to achieve awards every year and I am very blessed to have this consistency.  My past clients continue to come back to asking them what they want helps me to be serve them better and be a better agent.  I accomplish 15 hours of study per year for my license renewal and take optional classes all during the year regarding safety, agency and fair housing.  I study the market and see what others are doing that works and follow suit.

Buyers do not pay me to work with them; only sellers pay a fee to sell their home.

The market has been my home for over 20 years.  I started back in the late 90's having built a home or two and with the issues that were created, vowed never to let another have these problems in the housing market.  I soon attained my license and began helping others buy and sell whether it was land, farms, commercial or residential.  It became my niche.

I work with all kinds of people and nationalities.  I find that the new home buyers have the most smiles as this is a fun new experience for them and it makes my job fun at the end of the day to make their lives complete.  I enjoy working with everyone that has a need to accomplish and needs someone with an expert eye and the knowledge to help them with some laughter.  I believe there is a buyer for everyone and a home for all - I am here to make sure it happens.

I love the couple who was referred to me by a gal I met some years ago that remembered me and thought enough of me to share my name!  This couple had some stuggles with the rental property they had and also had a home to sell.  I was able to sell their home in Bloomington in 9 hours, show them many homes which they finally found one they loved (FSBO) and put their 2nd town home on the market for more then expected.  It all is Gods will, but the people I meet make me feel like it was "supposed" to be.

Look for someone with whom you gel with; you are compatable with in the terms of working hard on your behalf and is aware of the current market trends and pricing.  Someone who can answer their phone each time you call and will put you in the front seat.  Someone who makes you feel like you are the only client they are working with.  Someone who gets the job done and makes you feel like you really matter and they really know what they are talking about and doing. :)

Think about where you want to live.  Where you want to hang that hat or come home to late after a long day and call home.  Make sure you are aware of any HOA fee's, additional issues of the home that may cause you problems later and have a firm understanding of the agent and how willing they are to help you.  Sometimes you need to look at many homes before you decide; patience and agents need to go hand in hand.
