Steve Cody With Property Executives Realty
About
For over 15 years I have been selling homes in the States of MN & WI. I was born in raised in the St Croix Valley, so I am very familiar with the area. I have sold hundreds of homes over the years. I have worked with Sellers at different levels, first time home buyers, move up buyers, many foreclosure homes, lake/second homes, and dabbled in commercial. The ability to value homes accurately, think outside the box for marketing a property, having multiple lines of communications with clients/customers, working full time in the real estate business, and being able to work within a clients expectations have helped me grow my business to where it is today.
I love meeting new people, helping make peoples dreams of home ownership come true, and love the fact that every day is different keeps pushing me to be better and learn more.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Face to face meetings are cruicial, I believe a potential customer/client should be interviewing me and learn more about me prior to deciding to work with me. This is also the time I can interview them and learn about their want's, needs, and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Being licensed in multiple states allows me to continue to take additional education on a yearly basis including topics like, Mold/Discoloration, "Leaving A Legacy, Best Photo Practices, Home Inspection Basics, and many many more. Brightwood/Kaplan Schools provide agents with great courses and learning that we can apply to our business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I generally have to look at a home, come up with a range of value that a Seller can agree with then determine a commission. Depending on the property 5-7 % would be an industry standard.
How did you get started in this business?
I spent 17 years in the foodservice industry from dishwasher to ownership. I was luck to be able to work with Cracker Barrel Old County Store and Chilis Bar & Grill. That background tought me a ton about customer service and controling your expenses along with P&L's
What types of customers have you worked with?
All levels of customers. I have worked with many investors looking for homes to flip or rent. I have worked with many first time Buyer's along with move up Buyer's. Worked with many lenders/servicers with marketing their distressed inventory, and worked with sellers at multiple levels also.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look for a full time real estate professional. The biggest is not always the best, just like in business and banking you can quickly just become a number instead of a person, a client/customer, or even a friend.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Print marketing has become a thing of the past. But one should not remove it from a marketing plan. Also depending on the property does an agent have a professional photographer that can highlight the home and even do aerial images. A customer/client really needs to understand literally 85-90% of the homes sold today were found on the internet so a good description with great photos go along ways.
