What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, we start with a phone call to set up an in person meeting as soon as it's convenient for the client. I can meet them in the home, our office, or for coffee. I find actually meeting in person right away really allows us to create an important relationship, as well as getting the desires from BOTH (if so) at the same time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a federal and 15 state mortgage lending licenses, as well as my salesperson license. This is what sets me apart from almost every agent out there.
How did you get started in this business?
I spent 10 years in lending, 3 of which were building a purchase platform for Quicken Loans. I left Quicken in order to create homebird.com (I sold a year ago), which was a realty service much like HomeGuide. From there, I decided I wanted to actually go boots on the ground.
