I Find It Interesting Learning How They Live & How I Can Steer Them in the Direction Thewy Wish to Live EVEN More--or, if They Want to Go in a Different Direction What We Can Do/Use to Steer Their Home in That New Direction.

I Also Enjoy Hearing All the Reasons Customers (Young & Old) Have for Not Being Able to Do Something.
Example: Not Being Able to Use a Stripe, or a Large Pattern in a Small Space is One of My Favorites.

In Interior Design, We Don't Follow Rules, We Make Them & We Do It with Intention.
You Want a Large Pattern in a Small Space--lets make it believable.

We Listen Carefully.
We Eliminate Styles to Narrow in on What Our Customers Want & How They Want to Live.
We Might Show Them Some Examples of our Work.

We Like to See What They Like.
Anything Can Be Duplicated--to scale for our customers room.

Budgets Are Important, but We All Know that They Are just a Starting Point.
And, We Work in All Budgets.

Dan Has Been Doing Interior Design Since 1982.
I've Only Been Working in This Industry Since 2004.

Dan is Very Solution Based.
I'm More 'Things Oriented' that Steer a Room in the Direction the Client Wants to Live.

How did you get started in this business?

I Moved Back to Michigan from South Beach.
I Met Dan.
And, with My Marketing Degree Started Helping Dan Promote the Showroom.
The Rest, as they say, is History.

We Met a Single Guy from Lake Orion Referred by a Previous Client.
He Bought a Foreclosure as an Investment.
We Gutted It, Took Him to Market to Furnish It, & Now He's Loving Life in the Home He Thought Would Be His Investment Property.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Come Prepared.
Bring Pictures on Your Phone, Carpet Samples, Paint Chips, Wallcovering Samples, Fabric & Bedding Samples.

Bring Pictures of How You Want to Live.

Be Realistic.
If You Want Your Bookcase Accessorized with Leather Books & Don't Own Any--It's Going to Cost You--we have an economical source.

Be Ready to Spend.
If You Need to Furnish Your Living Room that's Been Empty for Years, or Maybe Your Living Room Looks Like a Time Warp--We're Going to Have to Put Deposits Down on Everything You Agree to Purchase.
