At tree fell and hit my house knocking off part of the chimney, damaging the roofing shingles and tearing an electric cable from the house.

Bryce from DNB came out the next day to assess the damage and arrange for a crew to come out and place a tarp to make the roof weather tight. Bryce helped me through the insurance claim process not only for the roof replacement but also helped to coordinate with a brick mason to repair the chimney and an electrician to repair the damage electric service cable.

The DNB crew was quick and did a really nice job of protecting my bushes and other plants and cleaning up. Very professional. The roof and gutters look great.

I would highly recommend DNB Construction!

We contracted out with DNB for a roof and gutter replacement after noticing some recent storm damage. DNB provided a very informative review during the quote process, to include walking us through the material types and the reasons and methods behind the proposed roofing work. We received fantastic communication throughout the process, from sales managers to project officers. The crew finished the job quickly but effectively and clean up was better than I couldve hoped for given the mess that comes with tearing off a roof! Overall, we are very pleased with DNB and while I hope we dont need a roof again anytime soon (fingers crossed), wed be happy to work with them again.

Before starting this project, we got multiple estimates, but we are happy that we decided to go with DNB to replace our roof and gutters. We knew the shingles on our roof were worn and outdated, but we didn’t know much about the newer material available. Ryan and the sales team did an excellent job of educating us on all of the products. The crew was professional, clean, and efficient (they finished everything in a day and a half). DNB did a wonderful job of helping us through the insurance process to replace our roof. Our home was damaged by a big storm this summer, and we were skeptical of everything. Fortunately, Bryce and Ryan were very transparent, and they were able to come to an agreement with the insurance agent to get everything replaced. We love the new shingles we got from GAF, the color (Charcoal) really makes our home look great. The crew did an awesome job.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It starts with a thorough photo/video inspection done with the homeowner(s). After determining the condition of your roof we will walk you through what products and processes we take to ensure the best possible outcome.

Once a plan is in place, a pre-install inspection is ordered to double-check the materials needed to complete the project, as well as foresee anything required to conduct our crew as efficiently and professionally as humanly able.

After installation, we clean the job site and schedule a quality assurance review of the project with the homeowner to make sure we are delivering 5-star service.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are GAF Master Elite Certified, HAAG certified, NRCA certified, 4-Star CertainTeed Certified.

How did you get started in this business?

Began working for other construction companies and saw the lack of quality being installed for the final product. It encouraged us to begin DNB Construction because we knew we could offer a superior service at a value price.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with everyone from residential homeowners to new construction developers to commercial real estate managers.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We just finished an amazing randomized width, 5 color Natural Slate roof in McLean. We have installed a lot of slate roofs but this one really stood out.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Your home does not have a check engine light to tell you when it needs help! If an installer can not explain to you what is happening on your roof and how they will solve it, then they do not understand it themselves!

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Is my installer insured and licensed to work on your home? Are they NRCA certified? Are you being offered a non-prorated warranty that covers 100% of material and labor costs? What about a separate workmanship warranty? Can they demonstrate an understanding of the issues current on the home and how they will fix it?
