About

My focus is on helping my clients with their dog's every day behavioral issues in the home. Teaching both the individuals in the household and the dogs to become partners. Dogs don't intentionally do wrong. We inadvertently train bad behaviors. My goal is to help my clients develope a system that is easy to implement in the least amount of time.

I am a balanced trainer using both positive reinforcement and teaching the dog what is unacceptable. I do not use physical abuse. I use various tools and am a huge advocate of the Ecollar as a way to communicate with the dog. I properly condition the dog to the Ecollar, thus allowing my clients to be able to communicate with their dog at a distance. Think of it as a cell phone for dogs.

I have studied with Susan Garrett Puppy Camp, Tyler Muto Mastering the Ecollar and Jeff Gellman. I am a member of International Association of Canine Professionals and am fully Insured.

I have owned and been around dogs my entire life. I have taught agility since 2005 and training dogs for competition agility for 16 years. My Briitany Simi was the 2016 Winner at AKC Invitationals 20 inch class and was 4th Place Finalist in 2014. I have taken numerous digs to Agility Nationals Invitationals.

My passion is still competing in agility with my 3 Brittanys ages 2, 5, and 10. I also have a senior Brittany 14.5 and a Mudi 10.

After my dogs were in a bad fight I became passionate about dealing with aggression issues and dogs living together in harmony. They are all fine together again. Now I want others to have the same success with their canine partners.

I love seeing my clients come together as a team with their dogs and enjoying life.

Frequently asked questions

I like to meet with the client and dog for an initial evaluation and training plan that lasts 3-4 hours. Then we meet as often as necessary to meet their goals. I can go to their home or they can come to me. We can also meet in different environments such as parks where there are walking paths and wide open spaces.

If weather is bad, I will crate my dogs and allow your dog free time inside. I have a huge carpeted room where can play ball etc with the dog.

I trained basic obedience to my dogs since I was  kid. When I got my first Brittany in 1994 I did some obedience matches and played around with agility. When my 2nd Brittany was 4 in 2003, I took her to agility classes and was hooked. I've been competing in agility since 2003. I've taken 3 of my dogs to Agility Nationals several years and 3 have qualified for AKC Agility Invitationals( must be in top 5 dogs in country) several years.

I've been teaching agility off and on for 15 years so have worked with unmotivated dogs to dogs that are so over threshold they can't think.

Have also work with reactive dogs.

My Brittany Simi and I placing 4th in 2014 at AKC Agility Invitationals 20" Class  and winning 1st place in 2016.

Learn to be a leader and protector of your dog but, at the same time,be their partner. It takes teamwork to build a great relationship with your dog. They don't purposely misbehave, we inadvertantly reward those behaviors.,
