About Me

I am an undeniably a “crazy dog lady....” ?

But I am also an independent Fine Art Painter specializing in Abstract paintings and Pet Portraits. And because my deep love and admiration for dogs, I am able to capture their souls in my paintings.

I have had a dog or two since I was 9 y/o (that’s a long time... ). I cannot not have a dog. My house, my heart and my soul would be so very empty without them.

I consider dogs my four-legged kids, and I give them all my love and time. I do however understand that they are animals (very highly intelligent, feeling, needing and giving) and as such, they need training, structure and discipline. My ability to understand and relate to dogs has given me a better insight into how best to interact with them and take care of them.

I love to walk, train and play with dogs and just be with them. The more the better! I am so looking forward to meeting and spending time with your dog.

(This is going to be long... :-) )....

My Dog History

Ever since I could talk, I always wanted to have a dog. Not just any dog, but a German Shepherd. When I was 9, my mom finally got me a tiny, black Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. She was my best friend, my partner in crime and my constant companion. I took her on trips, smuggled her into stores and restaurants and when I was moving from Poland to the US, I would not go without her.

She lived to be 16 y/o and will always and forever hold a huge space in my heart and soul.

I also had the privilege and honor to be a doggy mommy to two most beautiful Siberian Huskies, Alek and Boris, two German Shepherds Gretchen and Rorie and a little Pekingese, Yoshi.

While married, we had 5 dogs all living and getting along in one house. Just imagine me walking 2 GSDs, a Rottie, a Terrier mix and a Peke! My friend joined us with her GSD/Husky mix, so the two of us walked all 6 dogs together.

My dogs are like my kids and I think that they probably lived more exciting lives than most people. :-)

I trained my Huskies in obedience and we earned AKC titles (not an easy task). I also trained them and showed them in the Conformation ring. We even belonged to a Husky club where we got to go sledding!

My Shepherds were both adopted and had given me more love and companionship that I could have ever dreamed of. My girl, Gretchen was truly my heart and sold dog. I trained both Gretchy and Rorie in obedience, tracking and agility. I traveled with them cross country several times and knew that I was safe with them.

Yoshi is also a rescue. He’s from a Puppy-Mill and is missing one eye, but I don’t care and he doesn’t mind. It gives him character. Wherever we go, he is the center of attention with his pink years and purple tail.

Four of the 5 dogs are gone now so Yoshi the Peke is the only one left. He is such a character that he almost fills the void.... But not quite. He too is missing the other dogs. He’s never been an only dog and I want to provide him with some companionship. I hope that by becoming a dog walker/sitter, we both can fill that void....
