Val Coster, an architect from Brazil, with over 20 years of experience in architecture and interior / residential and commercial projects founded Valeria Design Studio in 2012.
Our passion for design and our multi cultural experiences have been directing VDS and it’s team to an amazing history of client satisfaction an recognition.
Valeria Design Studio selected by Amara & The LuxPad as one of the 18 Best Interior Designers in Maryland 2018. We have been awarded Best Portfolio & Best Services 2018 by Houzz.
At VDS, we listen. We work with our clients to help them find what is best for their own way to live. Practicality, comfort and beauty can all be part of a space. Each client has their own needs, desire and taste. Our goal is to reach the enchantment that a space well planned and well design can provide to our clients, regardless to the size of space, the life style and taste of each one of our clients.
Our architectural background plays a big role on the success of our interior design. We love to provide to our clients more than our vision. I am a liscenced architect in Brazil. I moved to the U.S. in 2003 and have been working as interior designer since.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure to look for someone who studied and understands design. Someone who is not just trying to sell you their own ideas, but rather someone who wants to listen to your needs and wishes. A great designer must carry the technical knologe and the understanding that any style can be beautiful, practical and comfortable.
People are different, the designer's job is to understand each client and create spaces for diffeent needs, taste, living habits within the most of comfort, practicality and beauty.
