What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Dawn Blount-Walker Design/Decorating Den Interiors is a really unique concept. We come to your home for an initial consultation to discuss your design needs. After our initial consultation, we design your space and select the perfect items for that space. On our second appointment, we present a plan in your home, with your own lighting, and with furnishings you’d like to keep. As long as you purchase through us, our design is also complimentary. We ask for a non-refundable retainer fee that is 10% of the total budget. That retainer fee is applied to the bottom line of what you purchase. We do offer additional services at an hourly rate, which may include: space planning, furniture placement, hanging pictures, paint selection, as well as, personal shopping for remodeling projects.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate and graduate degree in Design.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work in residential, hospitality and commercial spaces.
