Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Most of my projects are custom design and are evaluated individually. Past similar projects are used as a guide in determing fees.
How did you get started in this business?
Started working on construction sites at 16 years old through college. Had an Uncle that is an Architect that influenced me greatly to move into Architecture.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with homeowners, developers, builders, small business owners, not for profit organizations, Churches and others.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
I designed a second floor addition to a small Cape style home. We doubled that liviable area but still maintained the charm and character of the original home. It is scheduled for construction Spring 2017.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do your research and interview several professionals before hiring. Obviously compare fee structures but more importantly find someone you feel comfortable working with.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Have a list of needs for the project with priorities. Collect any information that may be helpful to describe your vision to the professional, such as magazine clippings, photos, rough drawings, etc. Have a budget in mind even if they are not sure about the number initially.
