Jon Andersen Interiors offers a wide range of Interior Design Services, from Space Planning and Interior Architecture, to Lighting Design, Kitchen and Bath, Custom Furnishings and Built-ins Design, Materials and Finishes selection. Jon is ASID and NCIDQ accredited, with degrees in Art History and Interior Design. His work has been published in books, magazines and newspapers; he has taught History of Design classes at the Boston Architectural College. His depth of knowledge is great, and his range of styles is broad.
Jon enjoys working with clients to achieve solutions that resonate with them. His years of practical experience can help broaden the client's options, or help better interpret ideas that seemed hard to solve without the help of a professional. His aesthetics aren't bound to one particular style or fashion; "clever solutions are timeless". From the latest clean-line modern to period antiques; a limited palette, or one rich with color; from conceiving the big picture to refinement of design details, his 25 years of working knowledge is an invaluable resource.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Client/Designer interview to determine scope of project and client aspirations for it. Schematic Design follows, which could be initial Space Planning, Furnishings Plans, or just Stylistic Direction. Design Development phase continues to hone the design with client input; Construction Documents (for renovations) or Final Specifications (for furnishings) cement the design; Adminstration of Installation finishes it out.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jon Andersen has a BA in Art History from Vassar College; a further degree in Interior Design from Boston Architectural College. He is ASID and NCIDQ-accredited, and has had 25 years practicing in the fields of residential and commercial interior design.
