Hippie Tails House-Call Pet Grooming
About
Being in an unfamiliar environment with other dogs and distractions can be stressful. Grooming your pup in the familiar surroundings of your home can create a more comfortable experience. It's not easy to find the time to drop off and pick up at a salon. With house-call grooming, there is no need to rearrange your schedule. *Latchkey service is available. Having no outside distractions, I am able to focus completely on your pup.

Working with dogs is my favorite thing about grooming. I prefer to give the pup on the table my undivided attention. By doing this I am able to create a stronger bond with your pup. A strong bond can enable your dog to look forward to seeing his/her friend, the groomer.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will require some basic information about the pup(s): size, health, style. The client will be given a release form to be signed. Upon arrival, I will givve your pup(s) a few minutes to sniff and approve me. During this time, I will discuss style requested, health concerns, etc., as well as answer any questions the owner has for me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked as a grooming assistant for 2 years. I then decided to attend All Dogs Grooming Academy in Manchester, NH for formal training. There I went through a rigorous training, receiving my Grooming Certification. I am also certified in CPR and practice mindful and holistic grooming.
How did you get started in this business?
At the age of 5, I saw a commercial for a pet grooming school. It was at that momet that I knew what I wanted to do. As life often does, I was taken in a different path. I was given the opportunity to achieve my career dream and jumped right on it. I am very fortunate to have this opportunity and I enjoy every minute of it.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked in customer service for many years and so have worked with folks from all walks of life. I have found that, no matter where we come from, where we are, or where we have been, love for dogs is a universal common ground.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently groomed two small dogs in one household. The owner wanted a house-call service because one of her dogs was getting more and more anxious in a salon. I was able to spend a few minutes on the floor with this little guy and he fell in love with me (belly rubs will do that). I was able to give him a groom that reduced his anxiety and feel good. This is what I want. I want to be able to help make dogs feel good and keep the stress to a minimum.
