About
I have a zero punch list when I'm done (Little items that need to be done at the end). I do the work correctly and don't have callbacks. I was taught to do it right or don't do it at all. I'm very picky about my work and have a very good reputation because of my work ethic and customer service.
I love to make people's dreams come true, be it small or large within my realm of skills. Some artists create with music and some with a color palette. Mine is creating peoples' ideas with construction materials.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
What are they looking for. Before we meet I tell them to write down questions to ask so they don't forget. Take pictures from items they saw in a store, print out pictures from on-line or cut out from magazines. Have a budget in mind and remember rehabbing always has surprises.
I answer all their questions in layman terms so they get the best visual as possible. I try to put their mind as ease and keep their ideas in check. It's not always the most expensive materials that are the best choice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've always been good with my hands, learnt from my dad and grandfather who was a carpenter.
I read current articles and have to earn credits every 2 years for my renewal of my license. I always incorporate 'best practices" into my work.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Each job has a different skillset so it varies. I do my quotes different than some other contractors. I quote on the amount of hours I plan for and not a book suggested price which is usually higher.
How did you get started in this business?
I've always been good with my hands and built things for friends, neighbors and family. After working for companies and seeing how they treated customers with price and unfullfilled promises, I decided I could do better on my own.
What types of customers have you worked with?
From budget minded to unlimited. From construction visual minded to visually challenged. From English speaking to interrupter needed non-English speaking. I have no issues with anyone because I will get their ideas turned into reality.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Not recent but doing the dugout stairs and clubhouse walkways over at Fenway Park.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
To get multiple bids even if they are recommended by someone. I do the same with other trades that I need to sub out and most importantly... Compare apples with apples when getting bids. Tell the same story! Call references and ask about the quality of their work, the timeliness, the cleanliness, the communication between you and the contractor and how any changes were handled.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What they want to do. Write down questions to ask so they don't forget. Take pictures from items they saw in a store, print out pictures from on-line or cut out from magazines. Have a budget in mind and remember rehabbing always has surprises.
