About

While I tend to have a strong personal style, I relish collaborating with my clients. Each client has an idea of what they like and it is my job to help them realize their vision. As a professional designer I am constantly exposed to new products and ideas that I can bring to my clients’ projects. As a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, my background is in painting, incorporating extensive color theory and design. My depth of knowledge makes the whole design process exciting and fun. While aesthetics are important, budget, timing, availability and consensus are all part of the mix. The full picture always needs to be considered so we can make the best choices. Whether it be avant garde or traditional, unique or classic, my goal is that my clients are truly delighted in their home.

Frequently asked questions

As an interior designer with more than 20 years of successfully helping clients reach their best solutions for their vision of what home is, I feel it is my job to access, edit and encourage clients to get the spaces of their dreams that work best for them.  It is a learning experience to identify what is really wanted by each family.

I have a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.  It has provided me with a great background in color theory and composition.

I generally charge $120 per hour.  Products are quoted if I need to source them as needed.

I started in Art and eventually got into Interior Design by designing and manufacturing soft treatments for the interiors.

I work with all sorts of clients.  Many are very well off and have have experience working with designers, but I also have a number of clients that are working with a professional for the first time.  Picking out how your home is going suit your needs and style can be time consumming, expensive and frustrating, especially if you make choices that you regret.  I can facilitate acquiring the right things at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner.  Making the correct choice in designing a space is critical.  Bad decisions can cause homeowners to experince a domino effect of bad choices, disillusionment and frustration, so possibly my most important job is to help guide and edit the process.

I love all my projects from the perfect pillow to full house transformations.

You must have confidence, turst and like working with the designer.  Make sure they have references and experience.

Clients need to have a sense of what they want to do, but I feel like it is my job to help you identify what those goals are.  Frequently my clients have a desire to do something in their homes and it is my job to get them to evolve that vision into the best possible outcome.
