What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask what methods they use. Balanced trainers use negative reinforcement as well which can compound issues for your dog. Look for a trainer that replaces undesirable behaviors with desirable ones by extinguishing the bad, not "correcting it out of them". Applying force on your dog stops the behavior, it does not train it to not reoccur. I will help your dog learn to present the behaviors you want.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are your expectations and goals for you and your dog? What are reasonable and what might not be?
