I have been a Realtor for 36 years . I have experienced a variety of market conditions , training from the most influential people in the business...Tom Hopkins, Floyd Wickman , Joe Stumpf, Tom Ferry and Brian Buffini to name a few. I have also taken numerous classes from the Realtor Boards to continue to stay on top of all aspects of the business . I have earned my ABR which is a buyer agent specialty . I have been an office manager as well as a salesperson. I feel prepared for almost any real estate challenge .
We discuss commissions with each individual. Typically we follow the norms for the area. I personally do not charge a buyer for my services. I get paid from the transaction fee offered thru MLS .
I decided to become a Realtor after buying out first home . I loved the variety of search process, love the financials and seeing all types of property.

Over 36 years there have been so many experiences both fantastic and difficult too. I think one of my favorite stories is meeting a couple in their mid fifties who merged their families after both parties had loss their spouses. They had never owned a home . The woman had a daughter who was brain injured in a car crash and she had a son . They were so kind and grateful for everything despite many challenges over the years . When we finally closed on their first house everyone cried ...the co-broke, the lender, the attorney and the clients . It was such a heart warming experience to be a part of that I will never forget . It is so special to make a difference in someone’s life . I am grateful for all of the transactions that teach me about so many parts of life !!!
I would look for a personal recommendation from someone that they trust .
There is a long list but most important would be does this agent have my back ? Can I trust them ? Do they know their business. I believe experience is very important too.
