About this pro

I am approachable!

Great style is attainable by anyone. But sometimes you need a little help. And it does not have to cost a fortune, either: LivingLovelier can work within any budget. I have designed interiors for million dollar homes, staged modest suburban capes, and spent an afternoon de-cluttering a studio apartment.

Details matter, and I promise they don’t have to cost a lot. .A beautifully designed home is not a luxury reserved for the wealthy.

LivingLovelier helps you tell your unique story through your home. I’ll design your home with your design preference to reflect you, evoke feelings you find significant and guide you to tell your story.

I am a fashion forward interior designer, impassioned creator, writer, artist, and zealous cook. I am a true believer in mixing the modern with antiquity and edge. I am fashionably unpredictable.

I love to share creativity. I surround myself with beauty and goodness, and I want to do the same for you. Pull up a chair, dig in and join in. Hire me, follow me, write to me.

A couple of months ago, I was struggling with finding the right color paint to go with my new curtains. Usually, I am pretty good about picking out the right colors, but this time i was stuck. Along comes Mary to the rescue. She had me think of a new color other than the pink tone that I love so much. Voila... the room came out amazing and she helped me re-think of hanging pictures. i was on a roll, Mary then had me think of painting a bathroom with a darker color, which at first was a bit hesitant. Voila... she nailed it again! Mary has been so much fun and creative to work with and I would highly recommend you bring her into your home to have her work her magic. Thank you Mary Lovely for helping me come a bit out of my comfort zone!

Working with Mary opened me up the world of colors, fabrics and placement. Having her vision and her concrete ideas created the bright, light, welcoming home I envisioned! Mary moved through my home with an artistic eye and budget-conscious sensibility. After picking out paint for six rooms, she moved items from upstairs, downstairs, and room to room creating a look I could never have imagined

When we moved from a Colonial house into a Victorian house we had boxes and boxes of photos, artwork and mementos to unpack. Mary Lovely came to the rescue. She found a spot for all of our old favorites and went a step further by mining our boxes of family treasures, dusting them off and putting them on display. Now we can enjoy family artists that had been packed away for years. Mary was careful about asking for my preferences, and we got to the point where I realized I trusted her judgement and liked letting her experiment and surprise me with combinations and placements I wouldn’t have thought of. She’s got such a good eye she was able to combine our assorted treasures into a cohesive look that suits the Victorian house while remaining fun and full of family nostalgia.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically, I correspond with my client through email or we schedule a call to discuss the project and their goals.  In addition, we discuss my fees and my work style.  If we feel that it is a good fit, we set up a meeting for an initial consultation and go from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been an interior designer for over 25 years.  I owned an interior landscaping design firm in Boston for twenty years. We served clients in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. After I sold the business I started designing interiors for residences.  I am self-taught and am a passionate creator!

I customize my pricing structure depending on the job.

How did you get started in this business?

After years of interior landscaping design I decided to turn my efforts from the commercial sector to the private sector.  I love to help people create the home of their dreams.

What types of customers have you worked with?
