Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe an educated customer is the best customer. I keep it simple for them when I work on their pre-move survey. We have how to videos on our web page, packing, labeling, and anything else they will need to know. My men are understanding that the customer may be stressed, and they will put them at ease once they start the move.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have movers that have 25 plus years, and we also have the same college kids that come back every summer. When we hire a guy that's new to the company, he is trained fully before he carries ant furniture.
How did you get started in this business?
I started working for a moving company back in 1990. I was just going to help for two weeks while a guy was on vacation. Then I was very good at it so the owner gave me a full-time job as a labor, then I became a driver-crew leader, after a year I became the manager. The owner did not want to grow the company, so I opened up my own in 1996, the rest is history.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with every personality out there. Nice, Funny, not so nice and not so fun. At the end of the day, we usually become friends.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are a reputable company. Make sure you get an in-home estimate. and go with your gut.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
