Barbara Bradlee is known for creating interiors that are current, classic, and comfortable.
As personal tastes and lifestyles change over time, what we want and need in our home changes as well. I help my clients express that evolution, to imagine their living spaces as reflections of who they are, what they treasure most, and the way they want to live.
The process is designed to be as welcoming and comfortable as the completed project itself. I pride myself on developing positive and close working relationships with my clients. Beginning with a personal consultation, I take the time to see, hear, and understand who my clients are – their lifestyle, tastes, and budget. I guide clients to envision what they want from their living space, be it a room or an entire home. And, with a highly collaborative approach, I work in tandem with architects, builders, and artisans to bring that vision to life.
I developed a love of architecture and design while an undergraduate at Harvard College, majoring in psychology but taking courses on classical architecture and art history. Pursuing my passion, I went on to post-graduate design studies at Endicott College, graduating with a degree in interior design while raising my children. I was honored by the American Society of Interior Designers with its Excellence in Design award in 2017. I am a past President of ASID’s New England chapter, and am certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification

Typically a new client contacts me and we schedule a free, initial meeting to meet in person and review the scope of the project. Once a Letter of Agreement is signed and work begins, I charge an hourly Design Fee. I work with the client using visual tools and discussions to determine taste, style, and functionality desired for the project.
My undergraduate degree is in Psychology from Harvard College and I earned my post-graduate degree in Interior Design at Endicott College. Both degrees serve me very well working with clients in this complicated, and very personal industry. I am nationally certified by NCIDQ. I am a Professional level member, Board Member, and Past President of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers.) . I have been practicing for almost 25 years.
I charge an hourly rate of $150 per hour. If purchases of product or materials are made through Bradlee Design LLC on behalf of the client, items may be purchased through retail sources or through trade resources.
