How did you get started in this business?
After 16 years in the telecommunications industry, in 1994 I left corporate life for a more flexible schedule and being able to spend more time with my young child. After six years as a REALTOR®, I decided to branch out on my own as an entrepreneur using a franchise model to launch a real estate and property management company.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Determine what your needs and goals are before engaging a professional. Do your research and due diligence regarding the pros’ qualifications, licensing, ethics, and dependability.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
-Do I have a written outline of my wants/needs?
-Do I have the proper budget based on my wants/needs?
-Do I have a “rainy” day fund for rental properties?
-If renting/buying, am I credit worthy?
-As an investor, am I prepared to possibly operate at a loss during vacancy periods?
