I come to you! I have been a dog trainer 20 years now and am a Certified Professional Dog trainer working towards my veterinary behaviorist degree. I am a member of IAABC International Association of Applied Animal Behavior Consultants, The Association of Professional Dog trainers (APDT), and the Pet Professional Guild (PPG) I work to solve the source of behavioral issues, not just shutting down behavior and not addressing the actual emotion and reason for reacting. You get a much happier and willing dog when it can trust you to solve the problem, not just telling them to be quiet or stop reacting. I continue education units, (CEU's) as required to keep my license up to date. I'm not just training your dog, I am training you to learn not only to train your dog, but prevent behavior issues in the first place. I specialize in aggression, fear, and reactivity in dogs. I have a close relationship with many vets in the area, we offer board and train, scheduled around YOUR busy lifestyle.
Being able to change not only how a dog sees the world, but how an owner sees their dog. Giving them the abilty to not only understand each other but build a real trust and solid bond that can change how the dog feels about how they ahould approach the world. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak to the client first to see what I can help with. Clients are sent to my website to do an intake form that will help me with working with their dog as well as scheduling an appointment time that is convenient for them. We meet I evaluate the dog and hear the owners concerns as well as ask questions that the intake form may have led to and then a I come up with a training plan tailored to each dog and owner to help the owner set the dog up to succeed. Management behaviors are given as well as information to Start them on the path to a better behaved dog.
