What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If possible, I’d love for new customers to stop in and pay a visit to see if I am the right groomer for them.
I always book new appointments extra time, so that the new pet can safely acclimate to being handled by a new person in a new place.

I do not charge extra for behavior or discriminated breeds. I am here to help the dog learn how to tolerate, accept and even enjoy being handled and groomed
How did you get started in this business?
I have been working with and handling dogs since I was 7, going to door in the neighborhood offering to walk friends’ dogs. Being from a military family, we moved frequently, but became well acquainted with friends and neighbors on the bases, who often referred to me as “the little Doctor Doolittle”.
In highschool I worked as a vet tech in training for our local veterinarian, at the time, and after graduation, completed a course in Veterinarian Assistant and certification in Pet Sitting and Dog Walking.
At the same time, I taught myself to groom and spent many hours expanding my knowledge and experience in grooming, dog behavior, training, and pet sitting. To this day, I take any opportunity to learn new things in the grooming world
Jump to the present, with the help and support of family and loyal friends, I now own my own grooming business and am a training assistant to a nationally renowned dog trainer.

I have and will work with any customer, as long as it is reciprocated.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Groomers don’t just give baths and haircuts, they are responsible for the safety and well being of your pet for the duration of the stay. Always stop in and check the salon before hand, read reviews, ask for references and for a portfolio if possible. It’s never a bad idea to run a back ground check on those who will be handling your pet.
