Frankenstein Furniture

Frankenstein Furniture is a furniture refinishing and restoration studio in Indianapolis, IN, founded in 2010. The shop brings over 25 years of experience in furniture repair, hand-stripping, refinishing, and custom builds. Services include restoration of antique and contemporary pieces, structural repairs, and creative commissions that repurpose materials into functional designs—such as toy boxes featuring children’s artwork, desks incorporating postcards, and tabletops made from posters or prints. Projects range from side tables and antique dining sets to custom drum kits, with an emphasis on hand-executed repairs and meticulous finishing. Frankenstein Furniture does not offer furniture painting or upholstery. Work is by appointment only. Complimentary pickup and delivery are available within the I-465 loop, and free estimates are provided. Customer service is led by Michelle, supporting founder and craftsman Craig Smith.
