Cleaning Is My Zen
About
I grew up in a real estate family. Sitting open houses at age 7, I came to know homes for more than their layout or finishes. It is a home, a nest, a sanctuary. I've been cleaning houses and getting them ready for the market since 1995. In 2007 when more products came out that were green and effective, I totally redesigned to green cleaning. I have poured my heart our researching VOCs and what makes a product toxic. I have begun making most of my own products but I supplement with any Caldrea Mrs. Meyers Ecover or green product that I have tested out and deem to be not only aromatic but effective.
I was reviewed by the Four Corners Business Journal as an innovative business idea. Since then I have relocated back to the midwest and the bounty of fertile soil is only aiding in my quest for more natural and effective GREEN products.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love when my clients leave me notes. As we get into a routine - if there is something that I miss, I will probably continue to miss it. I have clients that text me whenever they think of extras or something that they need and it is sooooo helpful. The first few cleans - because they are typically deep cleaned by nature- take a while longer. It is great to have feedback as we move along in that process. I hope to be in a regular routine by the 3rd clean or 6th week along.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in communications which means I can work with all sorts of people. I am a people person! That makes me uniquely qualified to understand how you want your home cleaned and what your cleaning priorities are. My associate's degree is in science, botany specifically.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I prefer to stick with a set price - the same great job every clean for the same great price.
I have been doing this for so long that I have a pretty good estimate on how long things will take me. I begin with bathrooms, dust, and straighten up. Then I complete the bathrooms and glass clean throughout the home. I begin the kitchen as I work my way out of the house, completing the floors last as I mop my way out of the home. If you are interested, I can share my Cleaning is my Zen Manual, Just ask! There is a science to my method - it is all very elemental! (Stone, wood, metal, mirror, glass) From Top to Bottom!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask them how long they have been doing it. Ask them what their favorite part of their job is. Ask them how they justify the prices they charge. A confident answer should satisfy you.
