About us:

Hi there! I understand it can be daunting finding someone you trust to care for your pet, so I definitely understand the responsibility. My boyfriend and I are experienced dog owners and have been boarding for a few years now. We have owned a Lab-Chow mix and a Cockapoo mix in the past.  We have alternate work schedules so someone will always be home with your precious pooch. We have no children so they will always have our full attention.

We currently have a Toy Poodle named Juno who would love to make new friends. Juno is pretty laid back and well trained. He tends to get along with any new doggy friend.

What we offer:

Your pooch will be exercised, get lots of play time, watch a little tv and can relax whenever they want. There are a few parks near our apartment and the lake is our backyard. If you have special care requests just let me know I'm sure something can be worked out. We don't mind caring for puppies or seniors. Leaving your fur baby with our family will be a sure way to have them cared for in a safe and stress free environment. We look forward to hearing from you!

Skills: CPR, administer medications and first aid.

Our page can be viewed on as Janelle R. in Chicago if you'd like to read some positive reviews.

We love being around dogs. We have a 14 yr old toy poodle named Juno and he gets along with everyone. We live by the beach and have parks within one block of our residency so going for walks will definitely be fun for your pooch.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to either speak with the owner by phone or in person to meet them and their dog(s) so they may meet us and our toy poodle Juno. I like to ask if their dog has any special needs or needs to take any medication etc., what their potty break and eating schedule looks like and for the owners to bring them their food, bowls and anything they may need to feel more comfortable and at home with us.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Janelle is CPR/First Aid certified for dogs and we have been dogsitting for around 7 years now. We've always been dog owners and are well versed in many breeds.
