I am a Professional Dog Trainer with 17 years experience. I have trained dogs in Indiana, Georgia and Tennessee as well as here in Illinois. I am experienced in training Service Dogs, Comfort Dogs and showing parents the proper and safest way to teach their children how to interact with their dogs. I train dogs utilizing "Positive Reinforcement, which means no punishment or discipline, corrections yes. I provide Puppy Training including Housebreaking, (usually accomplished within 2 weeks). Basic Obedience-teaching commands such as Sit, Stand, Down, Come, Stay, Leave It, Off, etc. This also includes Controlled Leash Walking so the dog walks at your side, not crossing over you, pulling or lagging behind. I provide Behavioral Modification for resolving problems such as biting, chewing, door crashing, jumping on people, stealing food, etc. All training for dogs is conducted with both verbal commands/cues and hand signals. I provide the dog parent with printed instructions for every command and method used as part of the training. Training is usually conducted once a week and for one hour each session. I conduct training directly in the home and during training I am available to my clients 24/7 for any problems, questions or needs through phone contact, texting, and/or emails.
