Sheila’s Petsitting/ Housesitting

About

I can accept last minute requests and am not upset if you need to cancel or reschedule last minute. I send frequent updates with photos if requested to make you feel more comfortable entrusting your pet with me.

I prefer dog walking over dogsitting, but will consider both. My condo building will not alllow "bully breeds" such as pit bulls, GSD, Rotweilers, etc. These are not my rules.

I love animals of all kinds. They make me smile and I love to walk for mutual exercise. I will spoil them rotten! I don't get upset if a dog gets sick or has an accident, that's what happens with dogs in new places.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to meet with my potential clients in person with their pet/s in a place where it's comfortable for the pet. I would spend time getting to know and understand the dog's unique personality and quirks if any. I've never met a dog I didn't like!

I've been dog/cat/housesitting since high school, worked at a Petsmart in the dog training program awhile back, fostered over 15 dogs one at a time and finally adopted a dog of my own. I am a volunteer for a dog rescue and often go to court to stand up for dogs rights in court if they were abused or abandoned. I own a dog stroller and if your dog needs to be pushed in one, consider it done. I am comfortable adminstering medication as well.

If our dogs don't like one another, mine stays with a friend. I live across the street from the park (Lincoln Park) and take dogs out an average of 4 times a day, sometimes more for playtime. I always walk dogs on a leash.
