How did you get started in this business?
I began in this business in 1977 after working in a specialty machine shop for 6 years. Wished to be out of an indoor atmosphere where I could be doing something different most everyday. My Father-In-Law had started BHAC in 1967 an asked if I would like try HVAC. That was my start.
Adam started working part time as a teenager and caught on fast. as now been working with me since about 2000.
Katie is our Office Manager started as a temporary office person in early 2005, and work so well we hired her in August 2005.
What types of customers have you worked with?
This seems to be a strange question.
I have worked with a wide range of "customers" in my 40 years in this business, from extremely low income to very wealthy. There are always good and bad to work with in all catagories. But I preferr to work for people who can trust us, and we can trust them.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
Our best projects are when we can take a customers old dilapidated system, replace it and upgrade it, while also conserving space, & increase their efficiency. Then have them realize the savings they can reap for Decades to come.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advise overall is to ask friends & neighbors thier experiences with the contractors they have used or heard good things about. I my opinion do not choose a contractor with a special coupon or cold call offer. Usually stay with a long standing local (preffered) company.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I my opinion, there is NO dumb question. If you don't know or understand something, you should ask!
