What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1- Let’s exchange emails, texts, or a have a phone conversation to get the scope of your project.
Step 2- We’ll arrange an on-site evaluation. Hopefully when you can be there too, but if not, we can work around that.
Step 3- Get you a bid, and once you accept it, get you on the calendar!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in landscaping for many years and so have the crew that works with me.
I am trained in landscaping as well as forestry management and some turf renovation.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All jobs are bid based on a combination of materials costs, person hours of labor and any relevant debris dump fees.
How did you get started in this business?
I started working in gardening as a high school kid in Australia. Years later I started Young Gardens after I married an Iowa girl and wanted to build a business for my family to grow into.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with home-owners, rental properties, commercial properties, and HOAs.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Any one where the customer reacts to the finished project with a big smile.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Consider your relationship with your landscape and how you can improve it. Evaluate what a landscape you can truly live in is worth to you and for the others who will enjoy it with you.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What parts of your existing landscape work well? Which don’t?
What elements are most important to you? Which are you hoping to eliminate?
