Your Sanctuary is focused on giving you 100% value for your home while being affordable. Your Sanctuary will be a beautiful space, AND will promote the feeling you want, whether it is a feeling of peace and comfort (like a living room, bedroom, or waiting room) or promote a feeling of energy and vitality, (like a classroom, workout room, or office boardroom.) I can work in any design style, from Shabby Chic to Pacific Rim. I can work independently, or closely with you, and I will go the extra mile to make sure you are not just satisfied, but really happy with the wnd result.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer contacts me, I listen carefully and take notes on what they want, then set up a meeting where we can discuss design ideas, timeline, scope of work, and budget. Then, ideally we will visit your location, and firm up more details. I will then provide a rough draft of our design, and a contract for you to look over. After we firm up those details, then I'll get to work! I am reliable, prompt, professional, and easy to work with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Making a Sanctuary is more than interior design. It also includes design elements from nature, such as reflective pools and waterfalls, healing plants, aromatherapy, angel music, art and murals.
When time allows, I make every element of my Sanctuaries myself, from the water features to the art, to making the music, to growing the plants. Sometimes I might contract out the less artistic parts, like building the reflecting pool stands, etc.
I have over 20 years experience in building small waterfalls, in horticulture design and installation, and in fine art.
I have been a professional graphic and fine artist for over 20 years, Interior Design informally for over 20 years (please see portfolio of work)
Educated at UCSC and UHMaui.
I have already written and commercially published a book.

How did you get started in this business?
I have always made art, written stories, and spent lots of time in nature. Being in nature brings me peaceful happiness and grounding. Also a sense of spiritual uplifting and soul healing.
I have also been a professional counselor for many years, and I've always wanted to help uplift people. Doing so through providing beauty and serene space is my passion!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with varied folks-- from homeowners looking to upgrade a rental, to doctor's offices, to a gift from a mom to her sick daughter. Great stories and photos in my portfolio.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
As far as I know, I am the only one offering not just interior design, but Sanctuaries. And, as in any skilled craft, checking someone's past work is always helpful. In my case, I strive to provide a wonderful finished design AND a good client/designer relationship.
