Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process is having a face to face meeting first and discuss the clients wants, needs & goals. Prepare an action plan for getting their home sold or getting them in touch with one of business partners to get qualified for a loan. There is more to real estate then just taking some pictures of house or showing a client homes. There has to be a specific plan in place to reach the goals of the client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the business for 17 years and have extensive knowlege of the current market conditions and loan programs. I am also a relocation specialist, short sale specialist, contract instructer for new agents in my office, compliance officer that reviews all contracts for over 300 agent in my office.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I discuss commission with a seller on a case to case basis. The typical commisson rate is 6% and split between listing agent and buyer's agent 50/50. Buyer's do not pay any fee to use a Realtor for their services.
How did you get started in this business?
I met my broker at a Jazz fesitval and spoke extensively about my love for real estate and that I always wanted to persue a career. She said "come on let's do this". I took pre-license course then the state exam and here we are 17 years later.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types of customers from first time buyers to investors.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give is to make sure the person you hire is a Realtor. That means they are member of real estate board and are held to a higher ethics code then agents that don't have Realtor status.
