Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When contacted by a new Buyer, we look to meet them at our office, (or a mutually agreed PUBLIC location for security) to talk with them about the home buying process. If if they have purchased a home in the past, a process, form or the market may have changed which will make experience different than the last time. We immediately connect them with one of our Team Lenders to get a pre-approval in place, and explain to them the value of having this in place BEFORE they begin looking at homes. From there, we spend time learning where they currently live, their lifestyle, and what they are looking for in their new/next home.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a licensed real estate broker in the State of Georgia with 15 years experience. I spent 25 years in the hospitality industry and work with people to help them achieve their real estat goals through effective listening and my market knowledge.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Real estate is all about negotiations. Typically, the Seller pays the marketing fees in a real estate transaction. Should a Buyer want to look at options like a For Sale By Owner, we explain to them they may be responsible for paying for our professional services if the Seller will not.
How did you get started in this business?
Left corporate America, did some consultating work and had an interest in real estate because both my parents sold in my home state of Montana.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Both Buyers and Sellers, First Time buyers and people moving up or down in their homes.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
A knowledgeable REALTOR is invaluable in the process of buying a home. It's also important that your REALTOR KNOW the market/area where you want to buy. If they don't, but tell you they can help you anywhere, "Buyer beware." You can't be an effective agent to all people everywhere.
