James Mercer has been doing multiple jobs for me since I moved to this area about 2 years ago. He has installed a window perfectly in my bathroom, he created a door for my deck out back. He built the deck for me last year. When I say a jack of all trades, I mean it. He gave me outdoor outlets on my deck and reconfigured my laundry room. He is dedicated and very kind. He is always fair with pricing, you would not regret hiring James for any job. I’m lining up some rooms for him to paint next.

I hired James Mercer to repair my deck, and Im very happy with the results. He replaced a number of damaged boards, and the new ones were cut and fitted cleanly to follow the decks existing angled pattern. The repairs are solid and the surface is smooth and even. He also replaced the top caps on the railings, which look sturdy and well finished.

James was professional, reliable, and easy to work with. He did quality work and cleaned up after himself. The deck feels safe again, and its ready for stain or paint to blend everything together. I would hire him again and recommend him to anyone who needs carpentry work.
