What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We show them around the facility and help determine the size self-storage unit that will best fit their needs. After we select the right space, we return to the office where we complete the rental agreement. Then we set them up in the system for their gate access code and to be able to access and manage their account online. Finally we take them back to the unit they have rented and show them how to use the gate system and the lock that is provided, and then they are all set.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
25 years in Property Management and continual training by our management company, Universal Storage Group. USG has been awarded the prestigoius Inside Self Storage Best of Business for Best Manager Training a record-breaking seven (7) times! We host special events on-site for our community! Call to ask bout using our well-appointed conference room for your next meeting or small event. Also, we host Yard Sales and other community events each year.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
It is not just about the rental rates! Consider all the VALUE you will receive from each storage facility you research: Things like Generous Access Hours, Convenient Location and Amenities, Friendly Customer Service, Package Acceptance with in-Unit Delivery, Boxes and Packing Supplies, Networking Opportunitis, Complimentary Coffee Bar, Online and Automatic Payment services, Friendly Text Reminders when Rent is Due each month, and so much more.... Not all Storage Facilities are Alike!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are your access hours? What size units to you offer? How can I pay my rent? when it rent due and when is it considered late? What fees may be applied to my account for late rent? Who can have access to my storage unit? How long is the minimum rental term? Do you offer any discounts?
