Before you sign with an agent, there’s one more thing you should check: the agent's license. To check that the license is current, go to your state’s real estate department website and look up the agent's name. You will also be able to see if the agent has faced any disciplinary action.


What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Does your real estate agent has your back whether you're a buyer or a seller.

You know exactly how much you want for your home if you're the seller, but is the price you've arrived at reasonable? You might only know for sure if you're able to identify comparable sales that confirm that you're in the right range—or not. Agents can do comparative market analyses in their sleep.
