What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We provide an initial meeting free of charge to determine the scope of the project. Once we undestand the project and our services that are required, we provide the client with a proposal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BARCH Bachelor of Architectecture Degree from Auburn University 1990
Licensed Architect in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee
Level II Certified Design Professional, GSWCC
LEED AP, NCARB
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Every project is different and the services we provide can vary greatly. We usually provide a fixed fee for the services requested. Hourly work is $175/hr.
How did you get started in this business?
I have been working in the architecture and garden design industry for 27 years. I started my own business in 1999 and continue to work in that capacity.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with private and public clients. I have worked for contractors and developers. My range of clients is very diverse from the person next door to the most successful people in America.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
One of my favorite projects was a small courtyard garden. It was special because of the clients and their desire for the perfect setting. It allowed me to be very detailed and oversee every aspect of the project.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advise to a customer is to find someone they can trust and work well with to help them create their dreams and exceed their expectations.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Clients need to look at their budget and be very clear with their professional as to what they want. Providing the professional with a budget will help them create a better project.
