About

B Interiors is an award-winning interior design firm serving clients in North Atlanta. Beth Johnson, principal designer, was recently named one of Atlanta's Top Bath Designers.

Designing your home can be overwhelming, frustrating, and time consuming. That’s why many people suffer from C.H.A.O.S (Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome). Beth's goal is to work with smart, busy families to overcome C.H.A.O.S and create relaxing environments that reflect and showcase their lifestyle. Whether you’ve got young kids, you’re an empty nester, or if your kids have paws, you deserve to live in a stylish environment that is a reflection of you.

So if you’re ready to get your home “done” so you can enjoy it instead of feeling like it’s always a work in progress, you’re in the right place! From kitchen and bath renovations to stylish, kid-friendly living spaces, B Interiors has the talent, experience and resources to transform your home into a stunning, functional space that is truly your own.

Beth Johnson holds a BFA in Interior Design and is an Allied Member of ASID.

    Frequently asked questions

    Pre-Planning and Consultation

We’ll start with a phone conversation so I can learn a little about you and your immediate needs.  If we feel we’re a good fit for each other, I will email you a questionnaire about your family, lifestyle and style preferences.  To make the most use of our time at the meeting, it is important for you to discuss your planned investment in your project prior to my arrival.  If you have a certain ‘look’ in mind, feel free to tear out magazine pages or save images on Pinterest to help me understand the look you are trying to achieve.

    Home Review.

This is a 1 to 1-1/2 hour meeting ($150 charge) where we will discuss your needs, wants, and priorities, the project scope and goals, investment, expectations and timeline.  During this consultation, I may take some measurements and photographs where needed.  I prefer that my client appointments take place Monday through Friday, anytime between 9am-5pm.

    Design + Planning

This is where the creative process of developing an overall design tailored specifically to your needs begins.  I’ll create floor plans and select colors, fabrics, furniture options, lighting, flooring, artwork and accessories specific for your project.  A $125 hourly design fee applies to these selection processes.  For sizeable furnishings orders, design fees that are accrued during the selection phase are waived.  Kitchen and bath design projects are usually done with a flat fee.

    Procurement + Production

This is when I present the floor plans, space plans, furnishings selections and samples in an in-person meeting.  Once your approval is provided, I will place orders for the items we’ve agreed on.  Payment is required to place all orders, and orders will be placed once deposits are received.  Since I’m ordering specific and custom pieces for your project, these orders are non-cancellable.  Lead times on furniture will vary, but generally range from 6-8 weeks for standard upholstery items when the frames and fabrics selected are in stock.  Your orders will be tracked directly  with the manufacturer or workroom and I will address any issues that come up.

    Installation

To save on delivery costs, it is best for all furnishings to be handled in one delivery.  If certain items arrive sooner or later than the anticipated delivery date, I will always try to accommodate.  To ensure that the items are placed in the home where they belong, I will be present on the day of installation.   For renovations, I make periodic site visits to ensure quality workmanship and proper design implementation of the materials (ie: tile design).   Whether we’re doing a room makeover or a renovation, you will be thrilled with the results.

Beth Johnson earned a BFA in Interior Design, is an Allied Member of ASID and has an extensive background in business and project management that sets her apart from other design professionals.  She also speaks Spanish which helps in commnunicating with some trades.

I enjoy working with successful professionals who understand the impact that a beautiful, efficient and well-functioning home can have on their family and lifestyle, and don't have time to decorate or don't enjoy shopping for furnishings.   I work with busy families with two working parents, active retirees as well as single professionals to create their dream homes.

People hire professionals when they need/want something done but they lack the time or expertise to do it themselves.  Design is an intimate process.  It's important that you "click" with your designer and you build trust in each other early.  It's best to discuss your desired investment in your project with your spouse or partner before engaging a designer.  Ask the designer about the quality and price points of furnishings they typically specify.  They will often want to know if you've worked with a designer before.
