Jane's Dogs - Counseling Families With Dogs
About
I owe my success with training dogs totally to my clients who took the tools I taught them and reinforced the skills with their dogs.
My specialization is in working with dogs and their families with issues in anxiety, fear, over protectiveness, These issues may cause aggressive behavior.
I train puppies and dogs needing to learn the skills in manners and being a happy, secure member of the family.
Most of the training is accomplished in one to a few sessions. My clients will attest to this. Please read my reviews.
The key to successful training is practice and the whole family does the same request in the same way.
Leash training will be easy as one, two, three, no matter the age of the dog. Now practice with consistency and he will do it.
Many Basic Skills are necessary for safety and manners to become a companionable family member: walking without pulling, sitting, house/crate training, coming when called, chewing appropriate items (not you, shoes, furniture, etc.)
Intermediate Skills: drop it, staying.
Advanced Skills: Now add, the important skill to pay attention to you when they are distracted.
There are different methods to have them WANT to return to you when you call them.
I counsel families with pets. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling from NYU.
I volunteer assessing and training dogs with Animal Rescue for Palm Beach County. I volunteer at Furry Friends with abused and abandoned dogs.
Again, the key to success is using repetition, consistency, love, praise and practice.
Call anytime. We have a lot to talk about before meeting.
Looking forward to meeting you/your dog.
